National Novel Writing Month happens every year in November. It is a personal challenge to write 50,000 words in 30 days. Last year I finished by November 17th and won, the year before I finished on November 30 and won but this year, I only wrote 25,000 words.
When I decided to participate this year I wasn't planning on taking on a new position at the school and all that would entail which even though it sounds like an excuse, it's what happened. My extra writing time was spent planning and prepping.
The good news is, I'm nearing the halfway point of the book I was working on. If you didn't catch it, I've been working on book 5 in the Halfway Point Lodge series. I have several projects I'm currently trying to finish before the end of the year.
