Fall Chili

From the Dock of Deception, book 3 in The Halfway Point Lodge series.
Nothing hits the spot on a cold Fall evening more than a big bowl of Fall chili. Josh is serving up a bunch of this chili to the guests at the Fall Festival.

 4 cups Black beans (2-15oz cans)
 4 cups Red beans (2-15oz cans)
 4 cups Chili beans (2-15oz cans)
 1 ½ cups Pumpkin puree (1 15oz can)
 ½ cup Diced green chili's (1 small can)
 5 cups Diced tomatoes (3-15oz cans)
 1 cup Tomato sauce (1-8oz can)
 1 Chili mix (packet)
 3 tbsp Pumpkin pie spice
 2 tbsp Brown sugar
 1 Large onion chopped
 1 lb Ground beef (or turkey if you prefer)
 3 Garlic cloves peeled and chopped
Toppings
 Cheese
 Sour cream
 Diced onion or diced green onion
 crushed saltine crackers

1. In a large crockpot, mix together the beans, tomatoes, tomato sauce, chili mix, pumpkin, pumpkin pie spice, brown sugar, and the chilies.
2. On the stove brown the onion, ground beef and garlic
3. Drain the ground beef mixture and add to the bean mixture in the crockpot.
Cook on low 6-8 hours
Serve with grated cheese, sour cream, diced onions, or crumbled saltine crackers.
