After a few dismal years of writing and publishing I’ve decided not to dwell on the failures but instead focus on building back my writing habit in 2025. There was a time when I wrote 1500+ words every evening after work. That habit helped me publish my first 6 books. Since then I’ve changed jobs, not once but twice, had a few lengthy illnesses, completed a Master’s Degree, and started a farm. With my health under control and the Master’s degree completed it’s time to get back to being serious about writing.
My writing goals for 2025 are:
Finish writing the 4th installment of the FREE Canyon Creek series
Finish writing book 2, Ghost of Christmas’ Past, in the Journals of Silver Shores series.
Finish writing book 7, Boat of Bitterness, in the Halfway Point Lodge series.
Finish writing book 3, Hauntings at the Hotel, in the Comstock Mysteries.
Finish writing book 1 in the Books, Botanicals, and Broomsticks series.
Develop and write the first 1-3 stories in the new Lighthouse Mysteries Free series
Outline and start books 3 & 4 in the Journals of Silver Shores series.
Re-launch Emma Walters and the Second Chance Romance series with the first book (yet to be determined)
My publishing goals for 2025 are:
Publish the 4th installment of the FREE Canyon Creek series (March 1)
Publish book 1 in the Lighthouse series (April)
Publish book 6 in the Lodge series (May)
Publish book 3 in the Comstock series (June)
Publish book 2 in the Journals series (July)
These are big goals but, a lot of the work is already done or well underway and it’s just a matter of finishing the books.
