Emma Walters

Because this new series is in a different genre, I've decided to use a pen name. The primary reason is to keep the two genres separate. Not all cozy mystery fans will want to read a romance and not all romance fans will want to read a cozy mystery. The romance series will be more of a PG or PG-13 rating, whereas all the cozy mysteries are G rated. I don't want any confusion between the two genres.

The name is derived from two family names. Emma was my great-grandmother's name and is my middle name. If you remember, it is also the name of the main character in The Halfway Point Lodge Series. 

Walters is in honor of my great-grandfather (not Emma's husband) Walter.

I love using family names in my books and as I worked to figure out a good pen name I went to my genealogy records and put these two together.
