Yep, it’s that time of year. Parents are celebrating and the school staff is full of mixed emotions. As much as we love to have the kids there is also some trepidation in what the school year will bring. This year I will be back in the library, sharing my love of books and I will also be teaching art. In the past, I’ve spent part of my day working with struggling readers, which I love to do however this year I’ve been given a new challenge. This year, I’ll be spending some of my days working with the integrated SPED students. SPED is special education and the integrated students are the ones in regular classrooms on a full-time basis. They are pulled out for specialized one-on-one attention. I will also be tutoring once again.
I’ve put together a good schedule for myself so that even though I have very full, and very busy days, I will still make forward progress with the various writing projects.
