Holy Smokes! I’m not exaggerating when I say we’ve been socked in with smoke all summer! When the wildfires rage in Northern California and push into Northern Nevada the winds push the smoke into our area. It has been a constant gray fog since mid-June. Our air quality has hit dangerous levels and has remained there for days at a time. The kids can’t go out to recess and we don’t go out and do stuff around the homestead. Needless to say, it hasn’t been a very pleasant summer.
We live about 40 minutes from Lake Tahoe which was threatened and evacuated last week. The firefighters were able to turn the fire and save the beautiful city of South Lake Tahoe. My heart and prayers go to all those who have suffered through these devastating wildfires.
