This week we officially enter the Fall season. It is truly my favorite time of year and no, I’m not a pumpkin spice fan. This summer was unusually hot the entire summer and smokey from all the wildfires so I’m glad to see some cooler weather forecast.

One thing I love to do is bake and I don’t tend to do much of that during the summer because it’s just too hot. I have my sourdough starter going and I bought some new bread pans. I’m ready for all the baking!

Fall is busy around the homestead. We are harvesting the last of the summer garden and preserving what we can. We are also putting in a Fall/Winter garden which will hopefully keep us in fresh salad greens and veggies for a while. There are things to do to prepare for winter a few events we will be attending.
