Why do I have yearly, quarterly, and monthly goals? It’s easier to achieve large goals (yearly) by breaking them down into more manageable (quarterly), bite-sized (monthly) goals. I actually break it down one more time into weekly goals but those act as more of a checklist of to-do’s for me.

In January I would like to:

  • Begin marketing for the launch of Pieces of the Past, book 1 in the Journals of Silver Shores paranormal cozy mystery series.
    • Cover design
    • Develop a marketing campaign
    • Decide on the launch date.
    • Set up pre-order
  • Write reader magnet for Silver Shores
  • Finish writing Valentine of Vengeance, book 5 in the Halfway Point Lodge series
  • Finish writing Death in the Desert, book 2 in The Comstock Mysteries.
  • Overall, write 62,000 words (yikes, that is a big number. I need to remember it’s 2,000 words a day).
  • Participate in the #authorfaqchallenge on Instagram/FB/Twitter
  • Project Believe
    • Brainstorm possible worlds, purpose, characters
  • Patreon
